Treasure Maps: What They Are and How To Use Them

WHAT ARE TREASURE MAPS?

A Treasure Map pictures what we want.  It has been called a "picture prayer."  Just as a road map indicates the way to a planned destination, a treasure map helps us get what we desire - healing, supply, a job, possessions, happiness, etc.  Physically it is a piece of paper, at its simplest form, on which we have placed pictures of what we want with statements of faith.  Whatever its shape or size, it is a means of keeping our attention to what we want.  It is also a source of strength for our faith and our expectancy of good.  It is a continuous reminder that God/The Universe/The Divine is truly our rich Provider who loves us dearly.  Many of us are visual learners, and when used in prayer, meditation, and/or affirmations, a Treasure Map can give us an edge to actualizing our needs and desires.

We think, and we form our world after the pattern of our thinking (you did read the Secret, right, so this is not a new concept to you; right?).  A Treasure Map helps us think right so that we can and do create what we want to experience.  It keeps us close to God and/or our Deep Self.  It reminds us every time we look at it that we are one with God and with all which God has, co-creating our experience - a profound and uplifting way to live.  This is the wonder of treasure mapping.

Treasure mapping increases our understanding and our closeness with The Divine.  A Treasure Map helps us let God work in and through us to bring about what we want and need.  We stop thinking that everything depends on our doing, and we surrender to the gratitude that our cup overflows and that all we need to do is ask and we shall receive.

HOW TO USE A TREASURE MAP:

(These instructions I wrote out regarding a Treasure Map crafted for Love, therefore the Love theme.  I can make treasure maps for virtually any positive purpose and desire.)
I have my own Love Treasure Map, mine is for a happy marriage as well as for Divine Love, and I have arranged it as the centerpiece of my main devotional altar in my home (see the last photo).  Each time I pray, I look at the Treasure Map, I say its affirmations and devotion in my mind, and it helps me focus on God's Love and the love for my husband.  It is a picture prayer, a visual symbol of my intent to stay focused on Love amd a reminder to include this petition in my prayers.

Use the Treasure Map frequently and expect it to work.  Keep it in an area central to your personal prayer and meditation practice so it is close at hand.  Read the prayers on it and incorporate them into your spiritual practice.  If you know about the care of mojo bags and Lodestones, work with the Mojo Bag and Lodestone affixed to this Treasure Map - I'm including the necessary ingredients such as a vial of Love Come To Me Condition Oil, a small packet of Magnetic Sand, plus instructions.

While praying forLove and every time you affirm your own self-worth and lovability, thank God for the good that is already created.  Visualize your prayers answered, you needs met, and your dreams fulfilled.  "One should never allow himself to think of, or talk about, limitation or poverty.  Life is a mirror and will reflect back to the thinker what he thinks into it,"  The Science of the Mind, page 322.

To close out your prayer/affirmation sessions, pray something like this:  "Thank you, God, for answered prayer.  I now accept this or something better for the good of all concerned.  This good now comes to me perfectly, completely, and in peace."

Let God help you all the way through, and let this Treasure Map be a visual aid to attaining your Love goals.  Thank God continually for bringing about the good you want.  Show your cooperation by listening and heeding any direction you receive.

"Nothing is too much to ask of God."

"I am ready for my good now."
